What We Did In School

Red Group Spring Theme

The students were learning about Spring and spent some time in our garden planting some seeds to grow vegetables and some plants. The garden already had some rhubarb that had grown so the students helped to pick it so that they could use it to cook something.

The students also made a spring picture, they painted in a variety of ways, some did hand prints for the leaves. Others used their fingers to make the flower buds or a sponge.

The students also all worked together to get some ideas of what spring meant to them and the types of things that you do in spring. They worked together to draw big butterflies in the yard and to put shapes and patterns on them, doing both sides of the butterfly the same.
