Ethos and Values

Our vision statement:

“Maximising opportunities; enriching lives”

Our ultimate objective as a school is to enrich our students’ lives by providing the opportunities which will help them grow and develop as young people, and which will help prepare them for life after school.

Our Mission Statement:

“Enjoy, learn and achieve”

That is, to ensure that every day, every one of our students:

enjoys their day in school;

learns as much as they can; and,

achieves as much as they are capable of.

This is not simply a statement, but is a ‘core belief’ that is referred to, talked about and ‘lived' on a daily basis. It should be evident to anybody visiting the school.

We understand that as a school we have a responsibility to:

  • provide a safe, caring, stimulating atmosphere where each student feels accepted and secure
  • support and challenge students to develop academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually to the best of their ability and equip them with the skills required to function in the wider world
  • ensure that each student feels valued and can make a positive contribution to school life and in the wider world
  • act for role models for students in punctuality, being prepared for lessons and in our relationships with other members of the school community
  • support and work with parents and carers to meet the needs of their children
  • ensure parents are kept informed about their child’s progress and any concerns we may have about their health, safety, attendance or behaviour
